IS Training for Professionals | Design and As Built

Aim

By the end of this course, participants should be able to use the IS rating scheme to achieve an IS Certified Design and As Built Rating.

Successful completion of this course, participants will achieve accreditation as an IS Accredited Professional (ISAP) and be recognised as an experienced IS rating scheme professional.

Audience

Professionals using the IS v1.2 Design and As Built to pursue a Certified rating or who need to pursue a rating in the future.

Delivery Format

  • 2 days of face to face training
  • Participants will be required to do some pre-reading before attending the session

For some scheduled courses, there is also an option to complete a third day of training to learn about the IS Operations tool. See the table on available dates for further details.

 1. IS V1.2 Design and As Built

IS rating scheme version 1.2 Design and As Built (ISv1.2D&AB) was launched 4 May 2016 at the Western Australia Infrastructure Sustainability Conference.

All ISAPs who completed their training pre 4 May 2016 must complete this webinar and subscribe as an ISAP to keep their status as an IS Accredited Professional.

IS rating scheme version 1.2 Operations (ISv1.2Ops) was launched in February 2017 and is used to evaluate sustainability related risks, drive resource efficiency gains, set progressive objectives and targets and inform internal and external reporting needs.

 IS Version 2.0 is entering the next stages of development. To accompany the release of the next version of the IS rating tool, ISCA will be running a suite of training to enable rapid application of the new version. This will allow sustainability professionals in continuing to make a positive contribution by actively advancing sustainability outcomes in infrastructure.

Masterclass Webinars:

2-hour online webinars will be run for each new and updated category. These webinars have been designed to meet the following learning objectives:

  1. Explain the structure of IS v2.0 and summarise and compare the updates or additions 
  2. Discover the different approaches to each credit and analyse possible evidence to be presented 
  3. Propose potential opportunities and describe the principles to be applied to maximise outcomes 
  4. Design an initiative which summarises supporting categories and lists potential collaborators and contributors for amplifying your impact

These webinars are suitable for sustainability professionals who need to get a handle on the new V2.0 content as well as category owners who will be responsible for implementing particular aspects of the tool throughout planning, design or construction.

All credit card payments will incur an additional 3.5% fee.

Where discounts apply in relation to date of payment, payment must be received by ISCA by the applicable date to be eligible for that rate. Where payment has not been received by the end of discount date, unpaid invoices will be amended and reissued with the applicable fee.

All accounts must be paid in full 21 days from the invoice date or 3 business days before the event start date, whichever comes first. ISCA reserve right, without notification, to cancel outstanding accounts any time after 21 days from date of invoice being sent. If payment is not received prior to the event, access may be granted only after full payment is made via credit card or cash onsite. Late processing fees may be applicable.

Refunds will only be issued for cancellations as follows:

Registration may be transferred if notification is given at least 5 business days before the event.
