ISO20400: Sustainable Procurement is out: learn from the early users!

Event date: 31-05-2017 6:00 pm - 31-05-2017 8:30 pm

After 4 years of development involving 52 countries and 11 international organisations such as the UN and OECD, ISO 20400, the first international standard on sustainable procurement, was published on 20 April 2017.

Across the globe, ISO 20400 is already changing the way organisations integrate social, economic and environmental risks and opportunities in their procurement practices and the management of their supply chains. In Australia, the level of interest for the standard is growing rapidly and leading organisations are already starting to use it to respond to stakeholder expectations, increase their competitive advantage or simply work more effectively on sustainable procurement issues.

Come and learn from the experience of ISO20400 early users through our amazing speaker line up from the private, public and non for profit sectors:

  • Alice Cahill | Manager Strategic Delivery at NSW Office of Environment and Heritage
  • Matthew Brennan | Head of Sustainability at Transurban
  • Georgina Gillett | Procurement Manager at the Lake MacQuarie City Council
  • Nicole Boyd | Development Manager at the Infrastructure Sustainability Council of Australia
  • Kirsten Armstrong | Director Knowledge and Innovation at the Fred Hollows Foundation

You will also get an overview of the standard and be able to ask technical questions to:

  • Jean-Louis Haie | Director at Planet Procurement and Chair of the ISO20400 Australian Committee, and
  • Jonathan Avery | Stakeholder Engagement Manager at Standards Australia.

The conference will be followed by cocktail networking drinks. Don't miss this fantastic opportunity to network with sustainable procurement leaders!
