Social sustainability is about understanding business impacts, both positive and negative, on people. The engagement and interactions between an organisation and its stakeholders is critical. Directly or indirectly, companies influence the effects on its employees, workers in the value chain, customers and local communities, and proactively managing that impact is important. Infrastructure has a critical role to play in connecting communities and building an inclusive and diverse society.
