The Infrastructure Sustainability Council of Australia (ISCA) is looking for a Manager – Business and Technical Services to join our team and oversee all technical aspects of the organisation including development and operation of the IS rating scheme. We are looking for an experienced professional to join our growing, dynamic, passionate, energetic and motivated team in supporting the advancement of sustainability throughout the Australasian infrastructure industry.

Role and Responsibilities

The Manager – Business and Technical Services position will primarily be responsible for the operation of the IS rating scheme including developing new business and managing the IS rating team, quality and governance processes and on-going technical updates and developments. They will also manage ISCA’s education and training program, stay up to date with industry trends and developments, manage externally delivered technical projects, facilitate ISCA Working Group/s, contribute copy for ISCA communications/promotions, provide and deliver thought leadership content.

Knowledge & Experience

Essential

  • A tertiary level qualification in sustainability or other similar relevant discipline  
  • At least ten (10) years’ experience working as a sustainability professional or similar role
  • Has worked in most phases of the Infrastructure lifecycle (planning, design, construction and operation) and has strong Infrastructure Industry relationships
  • A  good leader who can manage and mentor a team
  • Experience in business development
  • Experience in developing and managing quality systems
  • Able to manage multi-stakeholder processes
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and be a fast learner

 Desirable

  • Masters level qualification in sustainability or other similar and relevant discipline
  • Experience working in a not for profit organisation
  • Thought leadership
  • Developing and implementing business strategies
