2014 IS Foundation Training Update

ISCAs IS Foundation Training course has gone from strength to strength; In 2013 ISCA successfully certified 126 Infrastructure Sustainability Accredited Professionals (ISAPs) and already in 2014, ISCA has certified another 74 ISAPs bringing the total number to 380

Feedback received from participants of the training has been very encouraging, here are some comments:

An excellent introduction to an important sustainability tool

Great! Got through a lot in two days and allowed good opportunity for discussion

Is a good platform to begin IS rating on our projects

Is very interesting and is clearly an important tool for the future

The IS Foundation Training has been delivered both externally and as an in-house course for several organisations.

Industry is using this training for more than just capacity building on the IS rating tool and its formal application for ratings during the design, delivery, and operations of infrastructure projects and assets. This training also provides a means to more fully understand applied sustainability in the context of infrastructure, what can be achieved and how.

Participants will:

  • learn how to apply IS tool to projects/assets
  • achieve a better understanding of infrastructure sustainability
  • connect with like-minded individuals in the infrastructure industry
  • learn how to evaluate sustainability performance of projects and assets

Delivering the IS Foundation Training has always been a priority for ISCA and we will continue to deliver future training sessions throughout 2014. We have upcoming training in Brisbane on the 17-18 June, Adelaide on the 26-27 August and Melbourne on the 21-22 October.

We have listened to stakeholder requests and we are now considering rolling out an Introduction to IS course for people who would like to be informed but do not need accreditation – stay tuned!
